A.PRESSE US NAVY Denim Jacket
Based on a 30's US Navy denim jacket with a rare simple design resembling a box shirt, the collar has been shortened to create a compact collar. A wider than normal rolled stitch is used, giving the overall piece a slightly different look with wider stitches. The stitching is a slightly greenish grey. The buttonholes are shirt holes. The original buttons were plastic, but they have been redesigned to be original tuck buttons. The body length is short, giving the silhouette a slightly looser fit similar to a trucker. The shoulder slope is stronger than the original, and the sleeves are simple barrel sleeves, but they have been slightly curved to create a more three-dimensional look.
The outer fabric is made of a high density thick weft thread used for 13oz class yarns, and the warp threads are made of old cotton waste, which is woven at a high density to create the napped texture of the immature spinning techniques of the 1930s. The hand-rubbed finish recreates the aging of the dark mint condition. *Each item is processed differently, so please enjoy the unique texture of each item.
