The material is SFC's original polyester fleece, which is made by combining two special types of polyester yarn in a unique design, resulting in a cotton-like feel while also being highly absorbent and quick-drying.

Despite being a thick poly fleece, it is lighter than the same material made from 100% cotton and is resistant to shrinkage when washed, making it an easy-care sweatshirt material.
